In every NHL draft class, there are players who are contentious, who bring out strong emotions from scouts, agents, coaches and managers.
You ask around and it’s either good or bad, black or white, loved or hated. Some scouts will tell you they’d never draft that kid. Others will tell you those scouts are crazy. And, rightly or wrongly, a teenaged kid gets singled out by just about everyone in the process.
